The official combat loop

Limbus Company asks you to connect skill icons to issue commands. After selection, allies and enemies act during the same combat phase rather than waiting through completely separate team turns.

That means your decision is made before the action sequence plays. Read targets and opposing actions first; the animation shows the result of the plan rather than replacing the planning step.

Clashes

When two characters target each other, their skills may Clash. Steam says the outcome depends on opposing skill strength and an element of luck, and that the winner can stop the loser’s skill. A Clash is therefore both an offensive opportunity and a way to prevent an incoming action.

The exact calculation can be affected by systems that change over time. This launch guide stays with the official, durable definition. See Clashes Explained for the focused version.

Speed, stagger and targeting

ProjectMoon names unit speed, clashes, stagger and resonance as mechanics that support strategic choices. Its examples include changing an enemy’s target, maximizing damage and canceling an action.

Before confirming commands, ask three questions: who is targeting whom, which opposing actions can Clash, and what happens if an enemy action is left unanswered? Those questions remain useful even when numerical balance changes.

Sin affinities and resonance

The official site says that chaining sins by color or shape can create a resonance effect with benefits. Steam also states that chaining skills of the same color can increase damage. A detailed affinity or resonance formula is outside this page because the required current numerical documentation has not yet passed the evidence gate.

Team components

The permanent cast is the twelve Sinners. You form teams from their Identities and equip E.G.O. Enemies can use Affinity-based attacks and other effects, while Abnormalities can require attention to behavior and weaknesses.

This is why one universal team ranking is not a substitute for understanding the mode, enemy and patch being discussed.
